So i was changing the front tyre and did the usual inspections and noticed that 1 of the pads have worn much more than the other 3.

3/4 pads are fairly even and have about 4.5-5mm material
1/4 has only about 2.5mm material

What little i know about fluid dynamics, tells me that unless there is a blockage, there should be even pressure applied to each piston once pressure is applied at the lever.... right?

what would be the cause of this?

And would I do any damage if i swapped that pad with another on the opposite caliper?? just trying to get some life out of the set before changing them all out...

any thoughts?

btw.. have Galfer, CarboneLorane SBK5 pads and Spiegler lines if that make any difference.

im thinking sticking caliper, its either staying open to much or releasing before everyone else, weird

Also make sure pads arent binding where they contact caliper. Rust or some sort of grime not letting them move freely

Clean the callipers, including the bore and replace the piston seal. If there is any binding that should have it sorted.
