Hi just wanna find out are the oem monoblock calipers off a 1000rr08-10/ 600rr09-10 worth the upgrade?

that is up for you to decide. to some its worth it, to others not so much.

you can get it and give it a try. if you dont feel any difference or dont like it...
you can always sell it here. someone will buy it!

PM or look up RideHRC. He has the 1000RR monoblocks. I want to do this as well, but they are RARE to find as take-offs.

I couldn't tell you if they're worth it or not when it comes to braking performance from the riding I do. I got them because I upgraded everything else in the braking system and figured I might as well. I mean technically they're better, being slightly lighter and dealing with heat better being a monoblock, but I don't think it would be a night and day difference. They are pretty hard to find being so new, but if you do find some the nice thing is they're straight bolt on.

Unless you can benefit from stiffer brakes on a track, it's not really worth it.

they are lighter by half a pound each and take the exact same pad.
I found mine for under 100 bucks.

I still come across some from time to time tho.

the new GSXR and ZX10R both have some even cooler looking Tokico monoblocks.
so try expanding your search a bit and you should find something.
all 108mm Japanese radial calipers are compatible with the RR.

Could you be a little more specific on the year ranges for the bikes? I do like the look of the zx10r calipers from the 09 if that's included. Also happen to know if I would have to run 300 or 330 rotors? TIA

dudebrosef, all the current jap bikes are 108mm. take your pick with which bike you want to get the calipers from, gurrrl.
as for rotor size, you can choose 300, 310, 320, 330. all you would have to do is add a 10mm spacer between the mount and caliper.
i believe oem size for 600rr is 310. someone correct me if im wrong.
if you look at the 08 1krr, youll see a 10mm spacer between the mount and caliper. you could use those same spacers.
