Hey all, new to the site and I'm hoping someone can share some wisdom with me.

Looking to complete an oil change on my 2016 CBR600RR and I have looked up the specs. From honda it says 10/w30, but I keep seeing alot of people using 10/W40?

If i chose to go with 10/W40 would that cause any damage to the bike? or does it matter?

any help you can provide will be appreciated.

thank you.

It won't hurt anything. Both have a low temp viscosity of 10. 10W-40 is better if your outside air temp is consistently above 85-90F.
