Hello from Sunny Europe,

So the story goes.. I installed couple of days before a DNA filter just to replace the OEM (never been changed).

After not riding the motorcycle decided to extensively wash on a coin mashine with high pressure water to remove all grime and grease gathering all these years ( was 2-3 years standing still).

After spraying some water the coin wash mashine malfuctioned. Long story short the motorcycle stayed bout 30 min wet until I was finished washing. Next day was left in the sun I go to warm up the engine and leave so everything seems normal.
After taking off I noticed oil indicator and FI stayed on. Checked oil was ok right in the middle. Went immediately to Honda dealer had the bike checked and the guys word as long as there is oil inside all ok the indicator should go off after some days caused by humidity or smth.

The bike has 29.000 km never had any issue.
I watched the indicator and first time it occurred it stayed on then after checking oil went off then blinking then on. I rode from the petrol station to Honda then.

Today I see the light and before starting the engine light is blinking 8 times steadily. After stayed off and as long as I start stays on.

I hope it's a contact problem cause the wash had lot of salt buildup.

Any help is appreciated

count the blinks......

they s/b a combo of long then short blinks.
When I turn the key it blinks 8 times, after starting blinks 8 times again and then stays on.
Idle is fine it just wont go after 9 thousand rpm and it seems like its underpowered.

Dont know exactly what you mean but after some searching 8 blinks saw some videos some stuff around seems to be the tp sensor but not sure.
Today I sprayed contact spray everywhere i could to eliminate the problem but not on the tp sensor.

carefully check out how to dry out TPS, and proceed?

Be careful with the HP wash......I wouldn't recommend doing that again.

is there a possibility the problem lies somewhere else? now going to remove the tps and clean dry it.
what could it happen after putting it roughly in the same position and ride the bike without calibrating? Is there a risk?

Already did... I could lift tommorow the tank cover and check the other end of tps connection. But I did already dry all connectors I could reach..
How is the front removed? So I can try to dry also the tacho?

Man you need to stop messing with **** immediately

You're way in over your head already and are just ripping and tearing.

Find someone who has a quality multimeter to reinstall your TPS for you, and then check all the connectors for you

It's likely you just had water in a connector.

Thanks for the help guys. Issue got solved so if anybody is interested I can post the solution that got the bike fixed plus all the process I got into.
1 last question is the 05/06 throttle bodies compatible with 03/04 and if its any different injectors, fuel lines etc... I know only they're both 40mm I know its off topic.
So how's the 117 hp 05/06 justified in comparison to 114 hp 03/04 model? (I its just numbers Honda gives out).
