"Selling my 2008 Honda CBR 600RR.
I have another sportbike (ZX6R) and this one has only seen 40km this season.
It is entirely stock, has not been performance or cosmetically modified in any way. It had an oil filter and full synthetic oil change (Amsoil) in the middle of the winter months. Also had a fresh coolant flushing and I flushed and replaced the front and rear brake fluid just last weekend. The brake pads have more than 75% of their life still intact, I don't often use the rear brake so it is probably closer to 90% of it's life remaining.
It has always been stored indoors in my heated basement and since I've owned it has only seen the rain once. It does have a rebuilt title but has been inspected and has a current MVI good until June 2014. I've tested the bike on the back roads and it is 100% fine It runs amazing and handles very well.
It is very responsive and enjoys the mid-upper rev range when possible
The bike runs perfectly and has zero problems. I will say this with 100% honesty as I have a few sportbikes and have taken great care of this bike since I bought it from the insurance company. The details of the title status was that the previous owner hit a gravel spot on a local city street and literally dropped it doing less than 10km/h. I still have the left side generator cover that illustrates this and if it were a faster/harder slide, the damage would be much worse. I've since replaced the generator cover with a new one and also replaced the clutch lever that was bent.
It comes with the stock Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD) system as well that is very much useful on this bike!
The battery is new as of 2010 also and the fork seals/dust covers are not showing any signs of wear at all. The tires have loads of life remaining in them and will likely see another 5000-7000km of riding on them.
I have owned the bike for 2 years now and it has been very well cared for.
It has never been stunted (I don't intentionally wheelie or stunt the bike however at times the front will lift when on the throttle) or tracked (I have a track bike for that purpose).
The price is negotiable however I won't reply to low ball offers or trades of any kind as I have enough toys, in fact I just don't have the time to use them all which is another reason this bike is now up for sale."
I am looking to buy my first bike and was hoping this would be it. I was wondering if anyone here could give me some insight on whether this would be a good purchase or not. Thanks!
