they are awsome .... bought my arai rx7 and solo rear cowl there ..... im not being bitchy or anything but the only bad thing bout them is that i only live like 200 miles away but it took like 1 and a half week for my stuffs to arrive

Recently I just purchased an akrapovic slip on hex for 06 600RR. After unboxing, I noticed there were no plastic bag that covers the muffler. Can anyone verify this? The reason I want to know is because I'm suspecting that it has been returned before since there were finger prints on the muffler. Not to mention, it has another layer of tape overlapping the original manufacture's tape.
I had no plastic on my muffler. It was in a styrofoam 2 piece form fit case. If it looks fine cosmetically and there are no rattles from anything being loose inside. . .who cares. . finger prints wipe off.
Are you sure it didn't have a silencer? It's not a separate piece. . it's already installed in the muffler. If it truly does not have the silencer, then I would exchange it or return it as that would be some pretty good evidence that it was a returned item.
return it man, and just say you want to change it cos you dont like it or have the doubt that is used or something like that, and if they say no, just ask for your money man simply as that dont you think, in this moment you are an unsatisfied costumer and they have to do they job to make you a happy costumer. that is my opinion.
Yeah, I already wrote a complaint letter to them. I bought it from 58Cycle. The problem? They don't do refund, only store credit. Now I have to wait at least another 3 weeks to get it straighten out before I can install it on my bike.
I asked them if I can purchase another one, send the new one to me while I send the old one back for a refund. They said they can't. Only store credit. Pretty wack! :bootyshak I'll just have to wait and see.
This is just a precaution to people who are thinking about getting it from 58cycle.
so if you send it back you cant order a new one? or another that dont is the same? or you can go with another brand and i know that is not the point you want the akra and is that what you have to get, so talk to them by phone and xplain man and good luck ooooo BTW great look on that one ah!
I bought mine from www.surfsidemoto.com and it came with the silencer. You could ask some of the vendors on the site to see what they have seen though, but I'm almost positive they come with a silencer.
I will say that if there is nothing wrong with the exhaust and you weren't going to use the silencer anyways, then it really shouldn't matter. I can tell you that I as well as most people removed the silencer even before installing the exhaust.

Suppose you're buying a $600 TV where the box is double taped, and the part that was suppose to be included was not there, say a remote. Would you still keep the TV?
She said that they have never had any returns. NO SH*T! With their outrageous restocking fees and their no refund, store credit only policy who would? Already, this is not the kind of business that anyone of us would want. :cwm21: I didn't want a return or a refund, I just wanted an exchange for a New In Box product that I paid for and this is what I get...still.

I've heard 75% bad things and 5% good... the other 20% was indifferent... I personally wont deal with someone who makes me return to manufacturer when the part is brand new. Even walmart takes my **** back when theres a notice on the item to not return but to contact manufacturer, the item in worn and used, and I dont have a receipt. Pretty bad when walmarts service is better than a 58cycle
As I've stated as well as others in this thread. . if you're not happy, return it and buy from someone else. They can say that they will charge a restocking fee all they want. Send it back with delivery and signature confirmation and then tell them that if they don't refund you in full that you'll just call your CC company and have them reverse the charge. Every CC company I know of would side with their customers over the vendor.
The only issue is that when you look at the description of the product, it does state: *-Actual canister end cap is open or has removable internal baffled as shown.
When you go to the Akrapovic site and look up the configuration for that exhaust, they do have models that don't come with the silencer. So it could be stated that you didn't read the description carefully enough before purchasing. At the same time, most reputable vendors would work with you if you truly weren't happy with your purchase. If they are offering you store credit without the restocking fee, then I would say that they're trying to work with you within reason.
