hello guys, i have a problem with my 06 600rr. i replaced the cct with an ape manual cct, cam chain with new oem one and still have a noise coming from clutch cover. Clutch enable or disable dont change the noise. Today i realized when clutch is half released (exactly the engaging point) on gear, noise went away. What could be the possible reason for this noise? Best regards.

Can't really tell from the vid as you are moving the recording device around alot. Ever heard of a mechanics stethoscope? Really all you need is a long screw driver. Hold one end against the cases or block in different spots and put your head against the other end. It works great to transfer sound and magnify any noises from inside the engine so you can hear. Once you pinpoint the source of the noise it will be easier to diagnose.

I would make sure your CCT is adjusted correctly but to me it sounds like typical clutch basket noise on an engine with some miles on it. But like mentioned above the video was incredibly hard to watch because you never held still but that seems almost like "normal" clutch basket noise.

Do you hear it while riding?

thanks for replies. i'm sure about cct because i tried to loose cct and heard the chain noise it was completely different from this noise. I barely hear while riding but feel little vibration and its higher on right peg. As i said when i released clutch while on gear, noise completely goes away on the exact engaging point. May be you are right about clutch gasket, should i replace it?

Clutch BASKET, not gasket; figure it's a spelling or auto correct mistake but want to be sure.

Personally, I'd leave it unless it gets worse. There are a bunch of moving parts in there that once they get a little wear on them will make noise, no matter what you do they'll always have some slop in the way it's designed. If you're curious take it to a reputable shop and have it listened to, my guess is they will call it normal.

For reference my '11 with 3500 miles in it makes some noise similar to that, my old 954 with 30k made a little more, very similar to yours and both react exactly how you describe: when you "load" the basket the noise goes away. Very normal behavior.
