I'm thinking about trying to hold a CBR600RR Nationals event.

I was thinking about having it be a weekend event in late spring somewhere in the Midwest like the Missouri Ozark area.

Reason to hold it in this area: Lots and Lots of twisties and good scenic views with the lakes and 'mountains' if you will.

Just seeing if anyone outside the Midwest would be willing to attend and bring your friends with bikes.

Simple Poll: Yes or No

post up why you think it's a good or bad idea. Thanks.

Yes, but not just one. They should be everywhere...from month to month, different spots...that would rock!!

Midnightspeed there is talk of holding one in late June (in conjunction with the Honda Hoot) in Knoxville TN and Deal's Gap.

The Ozarks have good roads but are subject to alot of drunken tourist traffic at certain times of the year. I'd definitely attend if you wanted to put something together, hell I'd even help organize.

But, if the one at the Dragon does comes to fruition I need some KC riders to make that haul with me.

I'm going to shoot a PM your way. You're a local KC rider as well, so maybe we could meet up sometime and talk it over. I can get other KC riders as well to help. I think it would be really fun.

I have a farm a few miles outside Poplar Bluff, MO. I could meet up but I don't have my bike there. I guess I should buy another bike and leave it at the farm so I have something to ride while there.

I would be in for an event like this.....and I would bring about 6 others with me...as long as it's planned right and enough notice is givin you can count me in!!

I'll trailer the bike up there if I have to and ride when I get there!!

here's an idea to throw out. lets say teh purpose of the national meet is to do a trackday. so find a track who'd rent the track out to us for a day(find out cost, and how much ur gonna charge people, and how many people can actually do it) and then find a hotel near the track. and see if the hotel has a huge parking lot and is willing to let us throw a bbq, bike show and watnot there. and location is primary, the united states is not small. and riding a bike across the country(600RR's are not ideal for this). i know i wouldnt go to cali, from mass, just for a bike meet.

+1!!! Although I wouldn't go much past the midwest for it, that would just be to far. Some one said about doing Regional events, that might turn out a bigger crowd. My $.02

I think it's a great idea. But hold it in E. Kentucky. The roads out there are PERFECT! It's a mini Deal's Gap.

And for all of you that are whining about miles, grow a set! lol ;) Cross country on a bike is a blast. Ive done it and loved ever minute of it.
