Can someone tell me that if when you put frame sliders on the bike if it becomes top heavy on them and does it make your handlebars or the front fairing hit? I did a search and came up with nothing that I could see. I know they attach to where the motor bolts to the frame but it looks like the bike would be top heavy. thanks for your help

Take the lead frame sliders off dude. They are supposed to bolt to the engine mount, not the side of the tank cover so the handlebars dont hit. :bounce:

.......don't ude aluminum ones, they break too easily and they also dig into the ground, not slide like the plastic type ones. I have s  een it a dozen times.

i think we all missed the point... i think the question is, if the bike's sliding down the road on it's frame sliders, will it be on the sliders and the pegs (bottom heavy) or the sliders and the bars (top heavy)... i'm also assuming jasonRR is anticipating a very tidy lowside to be asking this question...

let me start by saying you all know i got the vortex frame sliders and based on my incident that i had friday 12/20/03 my bike fell on the left side points of imapct where the left side frame slider/ driver's left side foot peg/ left side spool the damage was as follows sub frame bent/ tail section scratched / seat cowl slightly scratched / left side spool gone with the weld its hooked up too/ broken foot peg and the frame slider only small part of it gone nothing else was even touched so even though the vortex fram sliders stick out more than any other frame slider out there in the market i am glad i had those on my RR and i am happy to state my bike is all fixed now and looks as good as it was before that ass wipe in the deisel truck had cut me off bottom line frame sliders are worth evrey penny
