I joined because the work that they do for all of our fellow riders. If it was up to some political leaders, they would love to restrict some of our rights as riders. Just check out the website to see some of the issuses they are fighting for. Stuff like getting harsher sentences and jailtime for those drivers who just love to make left hand turn in front of us.

I'm a member because I get 25 dollars off each trackday at MidOhio and its for a good cause.

I'm not a member, but what kind of benefits do you get for being a member. I might join just due to the fact that it goes to a good cause. How much does it cost to join.

Shamefully I was not a member either. I had intentions to join but never got around to it. Thanks for the reminder! I'm now a member!

I'm suprised at how few AMA members are on this board. We need to change that now!

39 for a year.. which I get 25 off a trackday at midohio and I think you get discounts at AMA races..

They do have a lot to say with laws, Its kinda like the NRA for guns but AMA does it for motorcycle dirt/street.
