would it be possible to buff out swirl marks and then have a painter add a few more layers of clear coat? is this possible??? needed?
i dont know anythign about paint and wasnt sure if you could add more now over the top or not

Usually you can rough up the clear and put some coats over the top, but the clear is extremly thin or non existant on these bikes except for the tank. You will probably hit the paint just trying to rough it up.

If you're gonna use compound make sure it is some super fine stuff. I would try cleaner waxes first I know Meguiars and Mothers make some good stuff. I myself use Turtle Wax clear coat polisher and then a Meguiars wax to seal it. Works great and I have a black bike so I get those lil scratches all the time.
