I know there are A LOT of posts about this, i was trying to wade through them with no luck, most people have issues where the lights do not flash and they stay solid, my issue is a bit different. With all of the lights wired up, when i turn the key on and turn on the turn signal they do stay solid without flashing BUT i noticed that if i ground the power cable going to the turn signals for just a split second they magically start flashing... once one side gets flashing the next side works and everything seems to work until i shut off the key then it acts up again. if i leave the power grounded the entire time then the opposite side to the side i grounded works properly (flashing and all) but the side that's grounded does not turn on at all but the second i remove the wire i used to ground it it starts flashing normally. i know very little about wiring and this is confusing the hell out of me. when they do flash they flash at a normal speed or at least a speed that i think is just fine. this bike had aftermarket rear signals before i got it but they had broken lenses so i replaced them with different signals.

This is an 05. anyone have any ideas? i have attached a picture showing the wiring on the left side of the bike including the exposed wire that i have grounded to the frame, when i touch that to the red power wire to the signals and then remove it everything works as expected.

The reason the signals flash when you ground them out is probably the flasher relay. You have led signals in the front? Led's don't draw enough power to make the flasher work. Install resistors or swap out the flasher relay. T

Resistor or flasher needs to be swapped. Write up on here on how to do the relay flasher for your bike. T
