Hey guys...I didnt know where else to post this, but its causing me alot of trouble and well....pain.

I am 6ft 155lbs, I ride the 2k12 CBR and well...when I ride I sit all the way forward against the tank. This enables me (with my skinny thighs) to squeeze the tank hard and fully with my knees and thighs. However....to my dismay. My left knee (only left not right) rests against the silver sub frame which gets...well.....insanely hot.

Please help....What can I put on it to either reduce the heat or cover the subframe?

Oh...and does ANY1 else have this issue? I cannot be alone in this problem.

Really all you can do is change your riding position. Now there's two ways to do that: 1. Just sit back in the seat and develop your leg strength, tank pads would help with grip in this case. Two get a set of adjustable rearsets.

1. Sit further back, you should be able to put your fist in between your crotch and the tank.

2. Get a set of aftermarket rear sets. You need to be able to have your legs in the folds of the tank comfortably. Rear sets will help with that.

Watch this video, you'll understand where your legs should be.

lol well the problem with sitting back on the seat even just a fist worth, is then the only part of my legs touching the tank to "Squeeze" is literally the inside of my knees....:(

Im wondering if our bikes have that adjustability stock like in the video on the Gixr? Cause my leg is definitely not in the "crease" of the tank...id say its a good 1 to 2 inches below it.

Btw, I have stomp pads on the bike already. there wonderful...

How short are your thighs? At 6 gt tall I can't imagine that to be true. Our bikes don't have adjustable rear sets, that's why I suggested aftermarket ones.

thighs are not short, thighs are thin....I am 6ft 155lbs
if I back up in the seat my knees hit the tank just fine (corner of the inside of the knee) but there is a huge gap between the tank and my inner thigh...:(

I took it to the dealership to ask about it and everyone said I am sitting just fine on the bike, its just the ergonomics of this bike and the length of my shins compared to the thickness of my thighs I guess that happens to be perfect for burning the **** outta myself when in the normal riding position.

I will have to invest in adjustables I fear...oh well I love modding my bike anyways
