I thought Michelin was still with Konica Minolta as well as the LCR Honda, which would make 7 men (out of 18). Wow, didn't realize that many were riding Bridgestones. I guess it looks off since the Gresini team switched putting a Honda on BStones.

I think Hayden will get bumped next year from the #1 position with Repsol and it will go to Dani. Dani seems to be more competitive this year.

Very disappointing about Dovizioso being contracted with Konica Minolta Honda.

He deserves better. He should have taken De Angelis' spot. Dovizioso was probably the 1st guy I had my eyes on for MotoGP 2008.

Sad.

His official sponsor has not been totally confirmed yet. The rumor is that JiR will stay in place, a 50/50 with Team Scot (his current team) and JiR, or Team Scot will take over.

And if the tire and team combination are true, it is so funny to see everyone almost jump ship on Michelin. I like Stoner's comments on the tire war, Crash.net

1. nicky will be more competitive next year. he's one of the top 5 riders in GP regardless of his outcome this season. they dialed back the Traction control and all of a sudden he started getting MUCH better. wait til he starts the season that way. nicky is NO slouch. he has an emotionally intense passion for racing in GP, moreso than some other riders in GP.

2. also wait until the new tire rule comes in. they're gonna let teams pick tires AFTER FP1 if i'm correct. this means the guessing becomes LESS about guessing and more about results. if everyone gets their supplier's best tire come race time, it's just one more variable out the window. gonna be all rider and bike. and the bikes WILL BE more closely matched next season.

3. Rossi on Bridgestones. what a f*ckin sellout. yes, you're the greatest...so why jump ship? This guy's becoming a joke. I get annoyed when he speaks now. Shut your mouth and win.

4. JT and Colin Edwards with Tech 3!!!! That's frickin awesome.

5. Lorenzo. hmm...Is Pedrosa still gonna be the best spaniard on the grid? we'll see. i know he's aggressive and hungry, but let's hope he's no Tony Elias, t-boning the contenders out of contention.

So Rossi stamps his feet and gets his Bridgestone tyres. After what 6 years of riding GP's on Michelins he's gone to Bridgestones, whilst his team mate and the sister Tech 3 squad are still running Michelin.

Yamaha might need another test bike now running Brigestones just for Rossi and any chassis feedback from the other Yamaha riders will be useless for him. I just don't see this as a great move - 1 bad year with Michelins and he's off bleating to Dorna etc. But Michelin are bound to up their game and the modification to the tyre rule will help I'm certain.

Can't remember many teams which have run 2 tyre brands, it doesn't happen very often for obvious reasons. Last I remember is Haga and Scott Russell in WSB '98 - Haga ran Dunlop and Russsell on Michelin. It wasn't a good idea for developing the bike and working through set-up issues.

Wow Rossi parting with his team on the tires, it is kind of a sellout. He went to Yamaha because they weren't the fastest and he wanted to prove that it was the rider, not the technology that made the difference. Seems like that isn't holding true anymore...

The Tech 3 team next year should be fun, I'm glad Colin decided to stick around. Hopefully running on Michelins will give them more of an advantage now.

I'd also like to see Dovizioso on a better bike, although he has shown amazing form on an inferior bike already.

Looking forward to next season!

i used to think Stoner was scared of competition when he opposed the spec tire rule. boy was i wrong.
Rossi's the one that's scared. Yes, the all time great, the Doctor, the greatest rider ever on 2 wheels (sometimes 1) is perhaps the biggest P*ssy of all.

He already used his influence to change the tire rules for 2007...now that he couldn't win with the rules HE WANTED, he gets Dorna to change them again. what a fag.

now I'm looking fwd to almost everything EXCEPT Rossi's success.

-I'd love to see Cap run strong with Ducati.

-I'd love to see JT and CE tear it up on the tech3 bikes.

-I'd love to see Nicky Hayden win some poles and podiums on a bike developed for HIM (less traction control, better front tires/suspension/brakes). I'd also like to see Pedrosa help re-establish MICHELIN as a great tire supplier. with both the RC212's winning podium after podium.

- But most of all, I'd love to see Rossi's face after he doesn't win it AGAIN. He's pretty much leaving Lorenzo out to dry by not using the same tire as his teammate...leaving a FIRST YEAR 800cc rider to figure out the bike all by himself.

I can't wait to see what the new 250 boys will offer, this next season is going to be crazy fun to watch. I do know Lorenzo is an allstar rider, Rossi and him will be a good team to try and match. Hopefully Collin will fair better with Tech 3 next season. I was wishing to see him get a podium finish, too bad it never happened. Also I think Hopkins was an idiot switching teams right when he was given a bike that he showed could perform. Oh well like everyone has said it's going to be a wild season in 08'.

whaddya mean bumped?:laughing5

I dunno about the Tech 3 team... good riders, but yamaha's factory squad won't be allowed to lose to them, and I don't think they can beat the factory repsol boys, so i don't see them cracking the top 5. maybe in the rain in one of the lets-switch-bikes races.

I really want to see Sylvian Guintoli on the podium. That guy can ride. All he needs is a competetive bike, even if he did crash out of the lead.
