Hey all, I apologize for another one of these threads. Did my research and wasn't able to pinpoint my exact scenario.

I ride an 05 Cbr600rr and have recently been having troubles getting it started after riding it home from work. This is about the 4th time stranded at the gas station, soliciting for a jump. The only difference is I replaced my battery, thinking that was the issue. Low and behold, it wouldn't start again, and I shamelessly walk my bike home for about a mile. I've attached a video, hoping someone can help with this frustrating dilemma.

Yeah definitely quit using your kill switch! Is your fuel pump priming? Check that first. Then check all of your fuses and make sure they're all good.

How long did you ride on that battery for? It's probably time to look at the charging system. And use the kill switch if you want, that debate is like choosing a brand of oil. I've never had a problem in 8 years with 11 bikes, but others have. Let the fuel pump finish priming before cranking if you do use it though.

My bike was doing the same thing. Morning would start right up, but when I stopped to fill up on the way back from work it wouldn't start(30 minute ride). In my case it was the battery, but if you say you already replaced it then maybe its time to start looking elsewhere.

When mine wouldn't start I push started it and it started just fine. Have you tried push starting when it doesn't want to start up? If so, does it start up?

I did a Google search when I had the issue a couple months ago and these two threads helped me out. Also I'm sure Nico will come along shortly, hes good at these troubleshooting issues.

Thanks for all your help and feedback. I've gotten into the routine of using my kill switch since I first started riding, but I suppose it's smarter to change that habit. I tried bump starting it, but wasn't very successful since I'm a tippy-toe rider. I have it on the tender tonight, so we'll see if it really is just a faulty battery.

battery, fuse, ND ALL is good, i have swap the starter relay and its still doing the click,
i have no come down to maybe a bad starter or bad ECM, any suggestions would help too, OP , please keep us updated as well

Bad starter relay,most likely. Check where the positive connection mounts and that is the relay. Doesn't sound like it's turning over.

If you have a meter you can check your battery before/while/after trying to start the bike. I would make sure this is in the high 12v before you push the button, if it's dropping considerably while you hit the start button it's most likely a dead cell and you need a new one. You can always take it auto store and they will load test it for free. I would start with this, definitely sounds like the battery.

this was the culprit, WHN i took it a valve adjustment , the mechanics left the starter gear like this !!!!
idoits!!!
all fixed and now she is running !!! hope this helps anyone as well

my bilke was having rev limiter issue as well, that is now fixed with a new fuel pump !!

you never ran the bike after it was worked on?
no , I towed the bike there with lt mostly stripped already. Plastics , fuel tank, air box and all was removed, it ran prior to that tho.
They also had to replace the cam chain because the thought it was loose, but after they put in a new one, it still had the same slack as the original one.
So that's why the gear was in place, either they rush the job, or didn't know what they were doing .

This was done by ALASKA CYLCE CENTER in anchorage , Alaska.
