Only thing I kept watching, thinking he was going to slide on the road, was his hands were unprotected. Just kept thinking to myself his hands are so going to be shredded like cheese. He is lucky though!

This, boys and girls, is what we like to call severe target fixation. Do not attempt to recreate. Plenty of room to the right to go around, and he actually goes slightly towards the vehicle.

This is the description from live leak
"This is the riders explaination (not me):

It
was a nice day and I had to drive 3 hours south for work the next day
and on the way I decided to stop in cedar key fl on the gulf coast for
some lunch. Just crusin barely above the limit a Camaro slowed down
without breaking so I didn't notice any break lights to catch my
attention and on top of that I wasn't being aware of my surroundings and
was looking to the right a little. At that perfect moment realized how
close the car got and it was too late. As I hit the breaks I looked for
an escape, there was no way I was gonna make it all the way to the left
and go around so I looked off road to the right and saw a parked truck
and telephone pole and that seemed like a bad idea so i just kept on the
brakes and tried to get as far right as I could and take my chances
trying to skim by the side. as you see that didn't go well. I went to
the hospital and got some x'rays and nothing was broken! I was limping
for about a week and a half and other than that I was completely fine.
I'm very lucky I didn't break a bone let alone that I survived rear
ending a car at 68mph. I think my rucksack protected my back a'lot and
cushioned the rear window from breaking and obviously I had a helmet
too. Oh ya, if your wodering. Yes my bike is destroyed and I think ill
buy a car next.
"

I have to admit, I was ready to hit the pause button when he came off because I really did not want to see the aftermath of those hands!
Lucky, lucky boy to come away from that at almost 70mph! I know a few people who have come off at lower speeds and done far worse to their bodies!

He had plenty of room to the right. He panicked. Stupid mistake on his part.

Threw me off for a second when I saw him moving so effortlessly across the road....then I realized he stuck the landing on the car

Those dudes were real chill with the guy plowing in the back of them. Also, assuming that he was doing 70mph when cruising...impact then was closer to 50mph.

You can actually see when the guy looses atention to the road... then head up... and SH+++++T... There's car.... let's brake... no time... PAM!

Two mistakes... 1st an obvious... EYES ON THE ROAD!

2nd... DONT PANIC BRAKE, JUST DODGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... it was an easy dodge, he could have saved the situation without even applying brakes...

I've read and been told to stay off the bike for a while when you get a little too comfortable with the bike. Is this why?
