Hey... all with all the talk about the RT-1 on how it looks (which I this is hot as well). Has anyone looked in the performance part if that exhaust?

So... I'm asking if anyone has dyno there RR after they had installed their slip-on exhaust. Or know of the performance increase after installing.

Thanks...

I can't see it being much different than the RT1 single outlet, which is what I have. Custom dyno done: 108 hp. Hope that helps.

Hey SD Punk. Did you install it yourself? If so is it easy to install?

Thx...

I don't see why dual outlet would have more power, for any reason. Even cars that have dual exhaust make more power when you convert them to a single exit. Anytime you split an exhaust flow you create more turbulence, which screws up the exhaust gas pulse and scavenging.

Its all science, and every scientific test I have EVER seen shows single outlet provides most power. Probably the reason why HRC axed the dual outlet program. It looks cool though, and if it sounds like the single outlet RT one its one of the better sounding exhausts for our bikes

I just bought a 03 600rr and I was recently in the market shopping around for exhausts myself. when I went to my local motorcycle shop I asked the parts guy about the jardine dual outlet exhaust, not to mention that this guy is a ama racer he told me that I would actually loss horsepower with this particular exhaust, that there just for looks so with that being said I order the 2 brothers m5 slip on.

A breeze. There is no gasket to re-use, the aluminum shielding is removed, the black cover by the rider is removed, the only mounting bolt is through the hole at the end of the frame / beneath the seat.
I had already removed the seat cowl for a new brake light, but either way it should be no more than 1.5 hrs max.

Sorry to break it to ya bro, but loosing hp by adding the dual Jardine is HIGHLY unlikely. Either the guy has some beef with Jardine, gets some good perks selling another exhaust, or is a great racer but not all that well informed about exhausts.

Here you go. and, for the record, these numbers aren't padded in any way, my dyno isn't a liar. Also, these runs were done without Power Commander (or equivalent) remapping.

Thanks Jardine!!!

Hey Jardine. Thanks for posting up a dyno for the RT-1 Dual Slip on Exhaust. I'm impress with the results that came up. Also this says alot for Jardine that you guys value your customers and new product by joinning this website to answer questions like this and to get feedback on your product. I say's alot that you guys are paying attention and following your product through.

Since I've started this thread I've gotten my RT-1 Dual Exhaust and I love how my RR rides and sounds. I've got pics posted on another thread but they are thumbnail size files and don't show much detail, I will repost the pics agian on this thread with bigger pics.

Thanks agian Jardine!!! :dancing2:

I'm truly ecstatic that you're happy with the dual outlet exhaust and the power increase it provides. It's a project that I am very proud of. I can't begin to explain how awesome it is to hear the overwhelmingly positive response I/we have received for many of our newer product lines. This is an incredibly exciting time for me here at Jardine.

I have lurked on many forums for a long time, but I have been thrown off of so many of them just for being a manufacturer, yet not a site sponsor, that I'm tentative to respond at times. I will, however, answer as many questions that I can here, as an enthusiast and as Jardine.

Question

Thanks... Jardine.

I have a couple questions and wonder if you can answer it for me. I plan on getting a K&N filter and a power commander for my RR. Do you know how much more horsepower I will gain with my new exhaust? Also will I be fine just running the slip on with out the power commander or any other upgrades?

Thanks....

I'll second the others responses to your post. It is refreshing to hear straight from the "horse's mouth" rather than get second hand info that never seems to jive.

I am very pleased with my RT-1. The install was a snap and it looks awesome. If i can interject a proposal, I would have liked to be able to keep the plastic exhaust cover just above the rider peg. I would hate to burn my trousers on the exposed pipe. Other than that I could not be happier!!!!

thanks again
