Supposed to ride with a friend tomorrow and his clutch cable on his Kawi snapped today right at the lever. No stores open tomorrow in our area, anyone know how to jury-rig it for a day long ride? Its an older one, barrel type connector.

Any suggestions (other than "he should have bought a Honda")would be appreciated.

i would try soldering it. You might ahve to losen it. Maybe if there is enough slack you could tie it. I assume you just need to connect two end that are snapped in the middle. You are smart, you think of something

To me, it would be worth it to wait a day and have a completely functional bike before a decent ride, but do whatever you want... Im just not a huge fan of clutchless downshifting and avoiding stoplights when im 40 miles from my home when my clutch cable breaks again.

got a welder?
solder isn't strong enough for cables and leverage.

your going down the road, and snap!, you cant pull the clutch in. not cool.
why rig it. just chalk it up to one of those things.. i cant go today guys..

put some little vise grips on the end and just reach down and pull the cable with your right hand. J/K I would wait also
