I know harbor freight has the other silver looking one for the spools. But has anyone tried out these yet? I currently have a spool problem and think of getting these if their worth it. Or ill just get the GPI industries ones. Let me know your input on rear stands. Oh also is it better to get the stands by the spools or the swing arm for like parking it and stuff. Do axle sliders require special attachment for the spool stands? Thanks

oh and possible fix for my swing arm issue, get Driven axle sliders or get R&G offset spools. any recommendations as far as protection and use.

go to kneedraggers.com and check out the vortex rear stand, you can by the front conversion kit for it as well, they are priced pretty good and worth the price if you don't want to spend a whole lot on stands and if you think you would only be taking on tire off at a time.

Whats your spool problem?

And they look awfully cheap. I know its hard to justify spending a lot on a stand but I bought a vortex and love it. It took a lot for me to finally buy it but I am glad I did...

As far as the sliders, the driven and r&g are both good choices IMO if you cannot get conventional spools.

my stand has boath options on it, spools or the rubber coated shelves you just flip the bracket. the spool side of the attachment gives a much more secure attachment point. the last thing you want is your bike slipping and falling off the stand if you get it sideways on the shelves

My spool issue is when i got it used, the clutch side conventional spool spot was broken off(probably on a drop). So I need to find other alternatives cuz i rather use spools/axle sliders for the stand instead of the swingarms. I just want to make sure that a regular rear stand will work with the driven axle sliders with out attachments(or if so where do i get it).

So does anyone know where or if their are attachments for the rear for the spools? If/when I get that fixed? Also anyone else has tried these or have any problems with these? I like how you are able to use the attachment with it and just have 1 instead of 2(saves room).

I have the GPIs. Never had a problem with them and they work great. Can use spools or just straight off the swing arm.

I haven't seen that particular stand from harbor freight, but I've seen their Condor knockoff. It's really heavy. Welds are kind of sloppy and there is some slop w/the interlocking pieces. But..what do you expect?

Those GPIs look pretty good, and you've got a couple of endorsements from other riders.

I bought a pair of front and rear stands from Handy Industries about 8 years ago and am still using the front. Only reason I don't still have the rear is because I won a LP aluminum one at a trackday and gave the Handy Industries one away.
