AC2 takes everything that was good about AC1, keeps it, and throws out the crap that everyone hated about AC1 and makes it better.

Gone are the stupid go to a city, talk to the Assassin's head guy at the city and then go perform the same 4 tasks over and over and over and over again to progress the story. No. Thats gone and replaced by similar tasks, the difference being that these actually feel like they progress the story along. You are interacting with people and doing different tasks. Not the same 4 tasks to end up assassinating someone when you get enough info. All of them are mixed together to create a much more fluid story line. There are also some very cool and ultra unique missions in this chapter. You may be doing the same basic mission style, but it doesnt seem that way because of how they set up the story and progression.

Graphics are great. Music is fantastic. Controls are fluid and responsive. I never had an issue where I was ready to throw the controller against the wall. Things work properly here. Story is beyond awesome and ends just as f*cked up as AC1. Actually I think I was more confused by this ending than I was AC1.

Some of the new features implemented are the ability to build a city and collect money from it. You can then purchase new weapons of varying types to fight with. You still start with no weapons like in AC1, but this time you have help from famous historical figures who help you build some very cool and very trick new assassin weapons for you. Very cool feature. Also you can change the color of your robes. I know it seems silly, but its kind of cool to be able to customize your character that way.

Its not a difficult game. I finished it in about 3 days, but thats because I couldnt stop playing it. The story was very good in that respect.

AC3 will be coming out at some point. Signs are pointing to a Sherwood forest medievel setting. I dont know why. AC2 takes place during the Italian Renaissance and AC1 was 1191 and AC2 takes place over many years in the late 1400ss. Why they would make AC3 so close or even behind AC2 in the annimus timeline, I dont know. But thats the rumor. Something like WWI or even the American Revolution would be cool, but I think they are trying to stay away from periods were firearms were the weapon of choice. Word is it will star the guy from AC2, but I dont buy that. Too much happens at the end of AC2 for that to happen and you would already have all your assassin abilities and weapons. How do you improve on that?

Right. But, it is a great game. It was hard to split time between that and MW2 that came out around the same time. I usally beat a game and trade it in unless its truly one of my fav., I still have this game.
