So i took off my clutch cover the other day to get it powder coated. everthing went smoothly putting it back on (lucky) but a few days later after riding around for 30 min i stopped to get gas and the battery was dead. charged it up and put it back in and same thing happened the next time i got on it. accesories turn on but it just clicks when i try to start it. also theres a weird whiney noise when i give it gas but didnt think much of it cause its not super loud. it wont even push start in 1st. just wondering if there is anything on the clutch side internals that effects the battery or the charging system? thanks :retard:

Push starting would be in 2nd gear, not 1st. Did you do anything with the stator cover on the left side of the bike?

Well, there's nothing under the clutch cover that would kill the battery. Check that your battery is in good working order, and test the starting system for proper charging voltage at around 5,000RPM.

better make sure you pushed that little gear all the way back on. if its winding now and didnt before, you did something wrong. take it back off and look at a micro fitch to see where things go.

Between 14 and 15.5V is what your looking for, as far as you whining sound is concerned are you sure your not just hearing the intake?
