Hello all,
I have a 2004 CBR600RR that was in the shop for a manual CCT change after the OEM one went out. They replaced the CCT and did a valve job but that didn't fix the issue. They wanted another 1000USD+ to fix the bike. I trailed it back to a buddy's garage to try and fix it myself. I replaced the stator and vreg and tried to readjust the CCT tensioner.

My CCT is still clicking, the bike is low on power and torque, and the battery dies after about 10 mins. Does anyone know what could be wrong with the engine?

Thank you.

Get a oem cct from Honda their 65 bucks the manual kinds can’t accurately be adjusted without having the valve cover off to check chain tension. To tight will trash your chain guides real fast from premature ware. The ticking your hearing if the cct issue is fixed is coming from the fuel injectors Honda’s are noisy but tend to get louder with high miles.
