i think this mostly has to do with the fact bikes dont stream air very well once it passes over it.

even though there isn't much frontal area, the turbulance behind the bike is more than enough to create bad drag.

When yhey say motorcycle, they mean a P.O.S. Harley, the drag coeficient for the RR has to be very low. I'd guess based on the chart a 0.15 The RRwas probably a wind tunnel project from day 1.

I bet the drag coeficient is very good in the RR without a rider on in the wind tunnel, but put my fat ass on it and.. VOILA! Buick!

'motorcycle' is a little vague. a sport bike built for racing may have a different drag coefficient than my 1982 Honda trail 110. Or my uncles old Goldwing. still.. food for thought i guess
