I took my bike out of storage and once the roads clean up a little more (sand), I will be looking to get out there and cruise once again.

Since I perform my own service, what should I look over inspect/service/adjust prior to spring riding?

I will be inspecting the tires for any dry rot/cracks, along with air pressures. I am going to check all the bolts on the gear shifter and brake mounts. Is their anything else I should torque and check?

Also, should the chain get a little lube? It doesn't look dry.

Buy a factory service manual if you don't have one already and refer to the maintenance section. It will have the list you need to go by.
