I need help from all you smart people.

Here's the deal. My bike CBR6RR8 has been acting up at the 'track' (0,6 mi tight track) when leaned over, it starts sputtering when I roll on the gas.

Initially it was just a cough here and there while it was cold it seemed, but now it happened again a few times until it totally died on me. (Was leaning left)

I put it in neutral, started it and when I put it in first it dies (just like if the stand was down, which it isn't) that happens a few times until it seems all to be normal. (Moved the stand back and forth a couple of times)

I go out again and same thing happens it just shuts off totally after a few sputters early on.

This happened a couple of days ago too, sputters a little but never died - that was leaned over to the right.

I did crash the bike a couple of weeks ago, no real damage but laid it on the left side.

In the dash there are no lights or anything out of the ordinary going on, starts up fine, runs fine until leaned over. I rode the bike home tonight without problems after two deaths leaning over.

What are my options with regards to being the cause of this?
Kick stand sensor - BAS anything else?

(Bike has a full sys and PCIII if that matters)

Thanks,
Tri

Process of elimination

Start with the PCIII take it off and see how the bike responds problem solved
then its the PC problem continues then its not the PCIII

Next will be the BAS sensor then the Fuel pump test ( fuel pressure )

I'll take all the fairings off tonight and check to see if anything has come loose for the PC, check the BAS and take it from there.

check your kick stand sensor for intermittent failure. jiggle it.

I did that, that's how I got it going again. Then it started acting up again.

Aren't the odds on me having damaged it?
Do I have any option of removing it (bypassing) or will I have to get a new one to see if that is the cause?

Just in case you decide to buy a switch & ask if the 06 RR
switch is the same or not here is a comparison between
the 08 & the 06
08 part # & price

SWITCH, SIDE STAND

I think I'll try that to start with and see what happens. I'm going to install the Tripage light tonight and use the opportunity to have a good look over to see if anything looks off and try bypassing the sensor.

Thanks KS and Moe.
