I went to iraq and while i was there i saved enough money to come back and pay for my bike in cash. you'd be suprised how fast a sales does whatever you want when you walk in with 8200 dollars in 100 dollar bills. congrats man.

I know this kid who always has to have the newest rides, and I still can whoop him on a F3....Like I always say

"The fastest Bike is determined by a.......................Stopwatch"

Better yet fastest Bike/Rider combo is determined by a stopwatch

why pay for it with 100's lol its like bringing a jar of pennies like my son would do to buy candie. Write a check. Think the dealership cares it all spends the same. I assure you nobody at the dealership is wowed. Either way i just think its funny

congrats man. i wish i was debt free! got a mortage of £180,000 so my bike loan is the least of my worries! will have debts for the next 25 years! :sad3:
Your bike loan should be one of your first priorities - getting it paid that is. Pay your simplest/smallest debts first then apply what you used to pay to a debtor to the next smallest debt. You don't have to be rich to be debt free, just smart. Don't buy over time (loans) whenever possible.

If you don't have debt, you don't have anything...Unless you make a lot of money......Although, I don't get in debt for a bike.

Congrats on paying it off. I know a pretty dumb kid (but one of the best local riders) that has a 05 Raven R6. He went with Yamahas $39/month deal, which is interest only-not a penny towards his loan, just interest. Well anyways hes been paying the same $39/month for the last 13 months. Lol he thinks he has it good but in 11 months once that plan is over hes gonna have to caugh up 8k for the bike within a month orelse itll get repoed.

As for me, I always try to buy in cash... I figure if it costs less than 10k and I cant afford to buy it in cash, then I prolly cant afford it.

Check this out. Over the summer I worked at a car dealership selling honda's, Mazda's and VW's. This guy ride up on a bicycle, wearing cut off jeans, a white t-shirt and spiked hair, wearing a backpack-looked like a bum sack. It was a really busy day at the dealership and as the guy was walking into the showroom we were like awwww man, he is going to just come here and waste our time, wanting to test drive a car. Well there were three of us there and I was the unlucky one that got to talk to him. He comes in and was like, "I want to drive the Honda Ridgeline", so im like ok, we talk about the car a bit and im like well whatever lets just go on the ride, trying to get it over quick so I can get back to business. We go on the drive, he loves the car, and when we get back we are talking about the car, and Im like well you want to go inside and see what we can work ou, thinking he is going to get like 3 co-signers. So we go inside, start filling out the paperwork, start on the credit app. and I ask him if he needs financing, or if he already has that covered, and he says, "No it will be cash", Im like WTF?? I look at him with a puzzled look on me face as to how some homeboy on a bicycle is going to pay cash for a $30,000 truck. He then takes off his backpack and pulls out $50,000 stacked in hundreds!!!! And im like Whoa holy S**T! He then pulls out a jackpot slip and paperwork from a local casino. He hit a jackpot the day before. Needless to say I got the sale. I thought in no way we would even start paperwork.
