When I engage the clutch, the starter will not start the bike in gear. The bike works fine, and I just have to put it in neutral, but I'm positive I could do this before. I'm guessing a sensor has gone bad, but if you could point me in the right direction to look it will be much appreciated.
TIA

Make sure the kickstand is up. A lot of people don't know thats a "kill switch". If the kickstand is down, the bike will only start in neutral. It will not start with the kickstand down and the bike is in gear, even if the clutch is in.

Actually, I do know about the kickstand sensor, but it still won't fire up. I'm guessing something might be wrong with the sensor itself. But thanks for the quick replies.

It's pretty simple to eliminate the kickstand sensor as the culprit. Disconnect it at the green connector up under the tank area and jump the two ends together. Done, bike now thinks the kickstand is up.
Might as well start with the easy steps.
