so i've always liked the 600rr and finally found one i could afford. problem is it doesn't run. for some reason i always buy bikes like this and can usually get them started but this one is a lot newer and fancier than what im used to. so as far as i can tell it's getting spark and it sounds like the fuel pump is pumping gas. other than that im kinda lost. bike is an 04, it doesn't look like it was treated poorly, plastics were in decent shape and tires had pretty big chicken strips so i was hoping it would be a quick fix when i bought it.

It doesn't look like you have the BAS (bank angle sensor) hooked up. It is connected through the same harness the headlights are on. You need to make sure it is oriented the correct way (there is an arrow on it that should point up)

The easiest thing to do would plug in the headlight harness and figure a way to rig them so the BAS remains upright

Had that issue on mine when swapping fairings. Connected BAS upside down. :p

Did you actually check for spark or assuming?

Did you check for fuel flow or assuming? When you try to start it can you see fuel showering into the engine with the air filter removed from the lower injectors?

Do you have a service manual?

What else have you done to it or isn't done? Is it a former race bike? Do you have the right ignition or is it bypassed in any way? All your safety switches either in place or bypassed correctly (clutch pin, kickstand, BAS)?

It could be 500 different things and you're giving us almost no info on the bike or what you've done. Read the sticky thread at the top of this area and go through all of those steps, at some point in there you'll discover what's up or we'll know everything you've tried. Based on your earlier video the bike is in pieces, wiring could be messed up anywhere.

I checked the spark, I assume the fuel flow and now have my doubts. I read the trouble shooting thread and checked everything I could without a multimeter. I didn't want to buy anything if it was something obvious I missed. I do not have a manual. I haven't done anything to the bike, as far as I know it was not a race bike, all the safeties are in tact. The previous owner removed the power commander because he thought that was why it wouldn't start. Other than that it has HIDs, full exhaust, flush lights, and a few other things. Wiring could be a problem but I am not looking forward to finding the problem there if that's what it is.

Get a service manual, a $25 multimeter and follow it. Is the BAS hooked up and positioned correctly? It's not in your video, you said you tried it but I want to be sure.

Honestly, that's about the only way you'll fix it.

Maybe the engine is flooded? Just giving suggestions here, it could be that but I'm not sure. I had that problem and I couldn't find it till Bridge_Jumper showed me how to unflood it. What you do is open the throttle fully and then push the ignition button for like 5 seconds, repeat it a few times till the engine runs smooth again.
