The KC Bikers for Babies has historically been the largest in the nation and raises money for a great cause, March of Dimes. This year we're adding something interesting. Racers from the region will be putting on a "March of Dimes Moto Cup Race" at the Kansas Speedway.

The speedway is the gathering place for event attendants to register, mingle, and organize before they leave for their ride. I'm evaluating the course today with one of the organizers and hope to post some GoPro footage of a few laps (stay tuned).

We're planning on three classes of racing: ULWGP, LWGP, Superbike GP. They'll be based loosely on club racing ultra lightweight GP, lightweight GP, and GTO rules respectively, but its mostly for fun and to entertain the crowd.

Venues like this are an excellent way for riders of all types to come together and show their support. I hope some of my dot net brothers and sisters can come.

Join the ride, watch the races, and spread the word.

Just got back from the KS Speedway. We will be using the infield course only. Not the "Roval" (road course/oval combo) as they call it. The surface is very smooth, but quite green with a couple spots where slippery white lines that come into play. Only really one spot where soft barriers will probably need deployed. Good opportunity to showcase the race scene in front of the Bikers for Babies crowd. My $0.02.

Short clockwise course only about 1 mile in length.

Edit: Added image of track map. Yellow highlight is the infield, red marks temporary chicane.
