Looking for some input on a little issue that I was told about today. Bike has 30,000KM on it and has been running fairly strong. Definitely think it needs plugs and probably an air filter but I dont think this would be an issue.

Anyways the bike seems to run rich and is constantly spitting out a liquid out the muffler. I am not sure if its fuel, oil, water etc but its nothing too crazy but I notice it when I start it up. One of my friends was riding behind me today and said when I downshift or get on the bike hard blue smoke comes out the muffler. This means oil in the engine or exhaust but im not sure how or why its there. Bike doenst feel down on power or funny. Recently installed a Yosh Slipon but other than that its pretty much just a stock bike.

Could valves be the issue?

Yes sir. Those are other symptoms of a headgasket. Oil is mixing with the coolant.

I don't know if I'd say head gasket. If there was a laek between the cylinder and the coolant... your coolant would blow out of the coolant res. cause exhaust would pressurize the cooling system. Only on decel would the cylinder suck in coolant and give you the smoke.

On the right side of the motor is the only place the head gasket seals oil. It seals around the cam chain. But next to the cam chain is coolant. So oil cannot leak from the cam chain into the cylinder giving you your smoke.

I think you problem lies with the valve seals or your cylinders. Both can be checked with a leak down test.

Oil smoke is blue, thats the first indication of oil... for confirmation check your oil levels... If you check for symptoms about milky coolant you will find it is getting mixed somehow... headgasket? Most of the times it is... then again I have never seen an RR engine opened to know for sure.
