I have an 04 600rr, 43k miles, never had a mechanical issue with it. Just recently I noticed that when I am accelerating hard in the higher RPM's the bike starts to bog down. It runs fine and pulls hard in low rpm's, but then as soon as the rpm's get high, it starts losing power and bogging. I am assuming the fuel pump is going. Am I correct? Does the fuel pump either work, or not work, or can it not be keeping up with the required gas in the high rpms?

Could be a fuel pump issue, might not. What mods have been done engine wise?

Lift up the fuel tank and measure voltage at the fuel pump plug. If you see battery voltage, you're good there.

Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail, and turn the ignition on for 10 seconds. Let the pump pump gas into a container where you can measure the flow. You should have 183cm^3 (6.4oz) of fuel with the pump running at 12v for 10 seconds. If it's below that, time to replace the pump.

While you have the tank up, also a good time to check that the breather and overflow hoses are not clogged or pinched.
