Interested as well bump. I have always just worn regular boots, but wouldn't mind looking into actual riding boots.

What is your budget?

Lack of ankle protection is something I think all riders should be concerned about. But some are willing to look past this...
Agreed, that's why im interested in those boots, as it says they protect the ankle.. but sadly i can't try 'em before buying... Anyone who has them could you give review? Thanks!

i definitalyyy learned my lesson after tearing my ligaments b/n my fib and tib last year after hitting a dear due to wearing open ankled shoes. i wear at leats working boots that cover my ankle now with no exceptions.

I'm not sure about those Joe Rocket ankle boots (if they are classified as ankle boots). The ankle area looks super low, and the angle from which they took the pic may be deceiving. But I haven't seen these in person, so I can't comment.

Here is an older thread about the same shoe.

Personally, I'm a fan of the Sidi Streetburner IF I were to choose a lower style boot, instead of a full race boot. http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/Sidi_Streetburner_Boots--632303.html

So...what is your budget?

And just for the sake of mentioning...as stickied on the top of this sub-forum. http://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.php?t=163896

+1 on Sidi's....I just got a pair of the Vertigo Airs about a week ago and I absolutely love them. They are extremely comfortable and their quality is second to none. Save your feet and ankles and buy some ASAP!

yes boots r prob a must...im n noob'ish skate shoes atm and have been looking for riding boots for sometime but i dont want the bulkiness of a full on riding boot to walk around when off the bike...i saw this from shift not long ago and i think they pretty sweet...offer pretty much the same amount of a normal riding boot with the look of a normal street shoe... motorcycle-superstore has a video on their website bout what protection the boot offers..
