Hi guys, I'm doing some research and I saw that there are 10mm spacers available for the RR calipers that will allow it to be used with a 320mm disc rotors instead of the stock 310mm rotors. Brembo calipers for the RR also can only be used on 320mm rotors so a spacer is needed on the calipers. Anyways I saw that the Fireblade's rotors are 320mm and I'm wondering if they can work on the RR rims and if anyone here has ever tried them before. Also are the calipers for the Blade different more robust or is it the same caliper with just a spacer? Brakes are just as important as power.

I'm a racer and I have a mechanical background working on cars and heavy equipment.

2008+ 1000RR rotors do not work, they have a different offset. 2006-2007 rotors will work and are 320mm. Hard to say if there's any real tangible improvement to be had. You have to be *extraordinarily* fast in order to take advantage of larger capacity rotors or calipers.
:+1: If you want to increase your braking performance, you're better off getting an improved master cylinder such as a Brembo/Accosato/Magura, different brake compounds or even running full floating rotors. Good luck.

600rr discs are 310mm.
06-07 1000rr discs are 320mm and also have the same offset as CBR600r discs,12.5mm offset.

if you have an 05-06 telescopic front end, then get a set of 09+ 1000rr monoblock calipers and an 09+ 1000rr MC too, good upgrades for not alot of money.
Dont forget to get a set of braided steel 1000rr lines too.
Oh and for 320mm discs, you only need 4 x 5mm spacers for fitting 320mm discs.

06-07 CBR1000rr 320mm disc test fitted along with 2013 CBR1000rr Monoblock calipers.........5mm spacers needed for 320mm

954 330mm Galfer Discs will fit too,but thats overkill...............10mm spacers needed

Both discs share the same 12.5mm offset as the 03-06 CBR600rr.

So a good few options out there.

CBr1k Calipers are the same as 600 Calipers on the 2009 model. Part numbers are exactly the same.
