california might pass a law where bikes must get smog check

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD

my brother owns and runs a smog station on glenoaks in burbank, california...he told me the other day because he heard it through the smog check grapevine...

he said it might happen in the next couple years because they are also forcing AWD vehicles to have all the wheels tested, which means he needs to buy another dyno

man this would suck for us....no more slip ons....no more pair mods or whatever....can't take the O2 sensor out....man lots of annoying crap will happen now

just take off the slip on and put the stock back on for 4 hours... pain in the ass, but what the hell, ya know?

Cali is up to teh '06 national standards already(I think it's '06) but they are going to go for the National '2010 standards before the rest of the country. Just alot of people in cali which means alot of cars and bike which adds to the smog problem. So they have to get tougher faster then other states.

Current bikes should still only have to pass current laws. The bikes that come out then will have to pass the new laws.

Cali sets their standard ahead a few years of the national standards.

Hehehe. :lol2: Think of all the Harleys with mods that will be sidelined. Those things barely pass stock.
