The ambulance if fully working. I don't have any oxygen on board through. Sirens and lights and PA. AC and heat in the back. Power outlets everywhere. Tons of storage. The neighbours aren't necessarily lovin it.
It's also a promo vehicle for the Medical Information Carrier Systems that go on helmets. So on the outside it has big decals.

I cannot tell you how many times I have thought about how awesome of a hauler an Ambo would make. My company actually has one for sale.

All the storage rooms in the world for parts & tools. Plus a bench to sleep on if you wanna nap!

Probably the coolest thing I've seen all year. Not sure I'd use a retired one though because by the time they get to the "retire me" stage they are in pretty bad shape

The maintenance routine on these things are seriously regulated and the company that I bought my ambulance from sells them in ready to roll condition for other deployment. Big market for these things especially in have not countries.

Bad omen. My wife knows I will always be leaving the track in an ambulance.

@CBR time- for sure I will be hitting shanny this season either at at an SMP or a Pro6 day. I need seat time going to this bike from a TZ250. I am not riding it correctly at all.

@lanco rider- dude there is a business model for sure on repurposed Ambulances. They locksmith for the company that I bought mine from has a portable workshop in an ambulance. When I picked up mine there was this really cool looking one that had been painted all black for a casino somewhere. Not sure what they were going to use it for??
If you are going to use one for bikes get the double stretcher version so you can flip up the extra crew seats.

Funny thing- all amulance drivers, where I live at least, wave to each other just like bikers. Took me a few missed waves to catch on. Duh. I thought the first guy was giving me the finger. Oh yeah there is this certain type of women that seems to like guys in emergency vehicles. I'll do more research.

Here's a shot at the track. Hope my experience helps someone who had been thinking about buying one too.

Brilliant track hauler indeed all you need is an official uniform and you can roll thru traffic like a knife in butter no stopping or nothing

you dont need a fancy uniform. i used to test drive cop cars and ambulances at teh shop and wearing my dark blue pants and shop shirt used to get me free food and coffee all the time. even iff i tolled them i was just the mechanic. usually at subway and tim hortons they would tell me that having good running vehicles was just as important as having a trained person to operate them LOL.
