Bike is an 03 model – having some hot start issues as usual.
Tested the battery at various voltages yesterday: they are as follows.

12.50 @ rest
11.90 @ key turn
10.16 @ ignition
13.50 @ 3k rpm (engine temp below 100c)
12.80 @ resting RPM (engine temp 106c fan on)
11.60 @ bike shut off

What does these numbers indicates? Does it mean I need a new battery or just the R/R?
Appreciate your feedback

Take your battery to autozone and get a free load test done.
13.5 when your bike is at 3k rpm is what its suppose to be.

Thanks pal,

I'm actually getting 12.8 v @ 3k rmp. does this mean RR is faulty, or is it the battery that is an issue?

Yeah that's low. Check the R/R by:
1. Remove left cowl.
2. Disconnect 3 pin connector (under fuse box) and alternator 4 pin right behind it.
3. Connect voltmeter to red wire on harness side and good ground.
4. W/ the ignition switch on the voltmeter should read battery voltage.
If all that's good check stator coil by:
1. Disconnect battery negative cable
2. Measure resistance b/t each yellow wire on alterantor side of connector (0.1-1.0 ohm)
3. Check for continuity b/t yellow wires and ground (shouldnt be any if there is you have a short)
