Ok, I've been trying to find something similiar to what my problem is but i can't seem to find it. So here it is.
i have 2003 Honda CBR 600RR

When i get on mash on the throttle in gears 3,4,5,6 i have very big delat in my acceleration sometimes not at all. I've been told it could be my clutch plates are slipping when i do this, but im not for sure, also when i shift from 1 to 2 it sometimes doesnt engage. Any ideas what this could be?? Keep in my when i mash the throttle it has this problem at any RPM i am at. Any thoughts/ ideas?

Your are using the clutch when shifting right? Also just to be clear the bike revs up after you shift and slowly engages?

Friction discs in clutch are prob worn. They sell clutch rebuild kits I'm at 24k on my 06 mine doesn't slip yet but could use a rebuild

Yes, I'm using the clutch to shift. And its not like it does this problem right after I shift. It does it even when I'm just cruising.. but yes clutch plates and clutch or just clutch plates for now?

When was it last serviced/oil changed?
When i first got my 03 RR it slipped in the higher end of the rpm on the way home, straight away thought clutch but i did an oil/filter change and it was perfect lucky enough! the oil had gone bad an didnt allow the clutch to hold.

Just a thought to throw in the mix.

I haven't changed the oil, but regardless I'm going to when I take it out next season, its put up for the winter now.. but first thing will be oil change and hopefully I get a day to ride soon to see. I will get new clutch plates though anyways, also what are the "springs" you guys are talking about?

The springs are what hold the clutch plates and discs together allowing drive to transfer from the engine into the gear box. When you pull the clutch lever you overcome that spring tension releasing the plates from the discs.

Have you checked to make sure that your clutch lever and cable is properly adjusted? There should be just a little free play in both.

As for the trouble going from 1st into 2nd, 99.9% of the time it's just caused by the way you're shifting. Apply firm positive pressure to the shifter the whole way through it's travel, don't stab at it or 'lazy shift'.
