I need a new rear tire and was planning on getting either the corsas or the PP. I was wondering which was would last longer on the street. I have never gone to the track and dont plan on it ne time soon. I dont do that much carving, mostly 30 miles to and from work daily (well in the summer). My front tire isnt down to the belt like the rear but should i get a front also?

Whats a good price on either of these tires?

just another question......Its starting to get cold here in PA so should i just put my bike away till spring and wait to put the new tires on since they can get flat spots and stuff over winter from sitting there. they would be fine if i buy them and not put them on though right?

for purely street use you can just go with the regular Pilot Power or Diablo & they're no pushovers just b'coz they're not like their new siblings the PP 2CT & the DC III, they have enough grip even for spirited canyon riding.

I use PP, love them survived one track day just fine (and I was riding as hard as I felt comfortable), had them on my sv and I will never go back to any other tire. Wet traction is important to me and the PP do a wonderful job on anything but the most icy, wet roads (and then I am not riding anywere near track pace). WA state weather is quite wet and I ride full time so u can see were I am coming from.

$285? too pricey for the regular PP it could be the PP 2CT, the PP's would retail much lower than $250 for a set & i've seen as low as $209.

who told you this bull sh!t?

i dont know, i heard it somewhere. I read somewhere on this site to go out like once a week and move the bike a few inches so it doesnt sit in the same spot all the time. so i figured if i just wait till next year i wont have to worry about moving it around.

and 285 is for the 2Ct not just the reg PP....sorry

alright, thanks. i have a pitbull rearstand, would u recomend using the spools or the little rubber things for storage? wouldnt it be alittle hard on the bolts if u let it on the spools?

if you torque down the bolts on the swingarm spools it won't be a problem, i've had mine on rear stands ever since i fabricated our own rearstand & i haven't seen mine bend, my spools even saved my swigarm in a lowside crash & the bolts didn't even bend still straight as ever. thank God for grade 8 bolts.

In Australia the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT is not available yet, due to the demand for the Tires. Ive been told they MAYBE available mid January 2007.
I can't even get a price for them yet, so at this point Im thinking Pirelli DIABLO CORSA III Three zone compound or DRAGON SUPERCORSA PRO (-racing tire)
anyone fitted the Dragon supercorsa pro? If so how did they go, and was it racing/trackday or street use?

Someone here just got some race take offs of the superCorsas and the responces from those who have used them say they absolutely SUCK in the wet.

The Diablo Corsa III is a street focused tire. so is the 2CT. they are both a performace street tire. i'm not very optimistic about the commuter life of either really. if that's all this tire will be used for, i suggest a sport touring tire.

I just did a trackday with the new Pilot Power 2CT's. They are nothing short of awesome. I was with people who had the regular PPs, and you can definitely feel the difference in how soft the edges are after each session.

I was leaned over to the edge of the tire on the right side, and felt very comfortable with the grip. Didn't put as much wear on the left side since that particular course has a heavier emphasis on right turns.

Oh yeah, and here is proof that I did get rid of the chicken strip on the right rear pretty easily
