This is my first 'tutorial" type video, so I hope it helps.

Just kind of a walkthrough of how I re-vamped my seat.

*edit: thanks to cbr6racr for teaching us how to embed vids

I've never embedded a vid here before, so if someone knows how, plz help me out
thanks
(can you also share the code plz)

thank you sir! =)

the stitching took I'd say 3-4 hours-ish.

45 mins to trim the foam.

All in all, I would say this is roughly a 6 hour project mainly because of the custom stitch work

Gel install alone, 1.5 - 2 hrs tops.

Take everything after the "v=" and before the "&feature..." in the address bar, and put the Youtube brackets around it. For instance, your address for this video was:

youtube.com/watch?v=ZH_Z_PTpL4A&feature=youtu.be&hd=1

So take the "ZH_Z_PTpL4A" and place the [you tube]...[/you tube] around it. No spaces.

Your final code would look like this, but without spaces...

[you tube] ZH_Z_PTpL4A [/you tube]

No problem. I'm thinking of getting some new cover for the seat. Mine got a crack in it from a sub-zero day and some water getting on it. Might as well do the inserts when I do the cover. Gonna look for some covers and do it when I'm down for my surgery. Good write up to follow along with.

if you want white vinyl for the seat let me know =)

i rode around for a good 3 hours thru the death we call traffic..

my ass is not sore at all, and almost no vibration of the sacks.. LMAO

everyone shud do this. it's easy and for $40 SHIPPED for the gel, what an investment in comfort.

I might take it apart once more and revamp it to make it cradle a little better

all in all, very happyy!

Thanks for the offer, but I am probably going to do black and red. That is stupid cheap at $40. Gonna order the stuff for this right after the honeymoon.

version 2.0

made the seat concave instead of convex

now my ass gets cradled in.
Basically took out ALL of the stock foam from the cut out, and used more neoprene instead

Wow dude, that came out great, I was going to buy a saddleman seat from someone but I'm going to give this a shot instead, thank you for the inspiration sir. That flamel tank pad is awesome btw, you get that custom made?

thanks thanks

yah, this method is MUCH more economical and not hard at all.

my tank pad is the full metal alchemist (anime) logo for the Elric brothers.
this was custom'd to size

it is a 2 layer decal under a clear tank pad.

ohh a decal under a clear pad, you are quite crafty. Yeah I'm a FMA fan, that insigna is called a flamel. http://fma.wikia.com/wiki/Flamel
