Have a few questions about some exhaust work I'm planning to do

09 RR

I want to eliminate the Butterfly and CAT so right from where the headers collect I will start with SS to the muffler , the muffler comes with an pipe diameter reducer choices are 50.4mm = 2in or 57mm=2.25 , is running 2.25 fine ?

Also does anyone know where to get a set of those little loops on the piping for the springs to keep piping and exhaust together , I guess I could just bend some rods

Thanks for any info

Will I loose too much back pressure with the 2.25 and require some serious tuning and mods , or will it be okay since I'm running the stock header

Stick with 50.4mm (2") for the main system. Going larger in the silencer itself is fine, but for the actual tubing itself the 2" better for the CBR.

It's not so much to do with losing back pressure, you'll lose some going larger but not too much. It's more the effect it'll have on where your CBR makes it's power. Larger diameter piping increases top end power at the expense of low and mid range torque while going to smaller diameter does the opposite.
