ok, so i got bored tonight, its like 2:30 am now, started about 12:30, not a bad timeframe considering i took a break to eat and other random sh*t. So, I decided it was time to wire up my signals, since my new box of LEDs just came in on monday and I was excited. lol.
so here we go:
first i trimmed the little tabs off the tail to make the stock tailight opening smooth all around, no pics, sorry, not really important. Anyways, first real step was to get an idear about how i wanted em postitioned and spaced out.
so once i got what i liked, i taped it down and took a mearsurement of the overall length (in mm of course) and then after figuring out the spacing, made a template with an old french curve i had laying around. that made getting em the exact same on both sides possible
then i drilled some holes. 1/8 drill bit is perfect for 3mm leds.
next i stuck the leds in the hole, bent the legs over and spread em a bit to figure out how i was gonna solder em togeather
then i soldered em togeather. imagine that.
so after soldering them togeather, i soldered wires for +/- and added the resistors
and this is what i ended up with. i'll take some good in use pics when i mount it on the bike tomorrow.
