I have a 92 Honda nighthawk 750 i'm doing a bit of reconditioning on and the thing sounds like a old geeser. I'd like t get a bit new rumble out of it. The aftermarket xhausts for the bike cost more than I paid fir the bike itslf. I wa wondering if I cut both te mufflers off if it would help make it sound a bit better and would it effect performance/ reliability or the motor itself? I can't unbolt it it's a fully welded stock system so I'm unsure bout this one. What do y'all think?

I think you'd be better off taking a quarter-half inch pipe and hammering it into the exhaust to open it up. Either that or cut off the cap, take out the baffle and make a new one. I did that when I had my 2009 250r and it sounded great. I'll look up the thread with instructions for you.
