after a 3 week break the GP circus heads off to Brno to start off the 2nd half of the MotoGP season, here are the results of FP1;

Hayden 1'59.387
Rossi 1'59.434
Melandri 1'59.529
Roberts Jr. 1'59.600
Pedrosa 1'59.675
Stoner 1'59.731
Nakano 1'59.871
Elias 1'59.893
Edwards 2'00.107
Capirossi 2'00.110

FP2 is underway, we'll we see the return of the Doctor? will the Kentucky Kid win this round to keep the points lead? is the streak of bad luck have come to an end for the defending champion? will Robotface gain an inch or two by seasons' end? watch the upcoming race this Sunday to find out, don't miss it.

That means Nicky needs a great start and Rossi needs a poor start. Not like that's never happened before.

With the exception of Rossi and Roberts, the top 6 were completely different in FP2. Pedrosa, Melandri and Stoner only marginally improved. While Hayden dropped a few tenths. Interesting.

Rossi admits he ran a qualifying tire in FP2.

"We also tried a qualifying tyre today, in order to give us more of an idea about what we need to adjust tomorrow in the afternoon session in order to challenge for a place at the front of the grid. This is really why I am in first place but anyway the race setting is also good and I was second fastest in the morning practice too so we know we have the pace."

i think they're using a new strategy in practice & qualifying, set-up the bike for the actual race in FP1 & FP3 and qualifying on FP2, the key to Rossi winning this GP for sure is to make it on the first or second row of the grid so it will be a lot easier for him to catch up & pick-off the other riders one by one.
