once again, not answering the question properly... We know the pipes will look like 460-41, but that model and pic are from a 03-04! (it even states that on their site!) We are trying to get a confirmation of how they will FIT on a 05-06! We have seen pics of how low they sit on another member's 05-06, and we want to know if they made adjustments! This guy is batting 1000 for obvious answers! I guess it means that if they don't care enough to help, they are not worthy of your money. You should probably send him a link to this thread, so he realizes he is being a politician, and circumventing the questions that are being asked!

Which makes me really curious why I've seen pics on here of guys that had the D&D that was hanging down pretty far from the rear cowl. Did those guys go with the 04 pipe and try to make it fit??

Why don't you send him a link of this thread so he knows how retarded he is making his company look to A LOT of potential customers. Anyway, good to hear there are other D&D duely fans out there. I have it on my red rocket and it sounds just rediculas. It is not at all smooth like the yosh or any of those other pipes. It literally rips the air apart coming out the back letting all within a 1/4 mile radius know that I am coming through... (1/2 - 3/4 mile radius when 9 - 15 krpm). Plus twin exhaust looks awesome on an undertail cause no one else has it.

I will do that very thing. I just did not want to overstep or incite anyone with an inflamatory thread about D&D. It is however, pretty obvious that the answers I, and many others want, are being strategicaly avoided.

I am sure that the 05-06 version sits low, and more horizontal, and they don't plan to change it, so they are not telling you this on purpose, hoping you will still buy it. Maybe they should use this free feedback and make adjustments. Companies pay big bucks for research to get honest feedback, and D&D doesn't want to use free honest feedback!

Call them and leave a message man, i called at 6pm left a message with my number they called me back the next morning promtly at 8am (sucked cause i work swing lol) but he answered saying the 05-06 was modified do to heat issues and that they will not do a remount or tweak it for you cause they don't want their name out there on some ones bike who specifially asked for it to be done and have them have heat problems and tarnish the name basically.

So buy it like that or tough **** basically i bought it and love it. Went to the local opening of a bike shop had a 100+ bikes there and i got a ton of compliments on looks and even more on the sound. They all said the 600RR witha D&D is like no other bike with one they have other heard. Guys saying their F4i's gsxrs etc sounded so F'n loud it was annoying but they absolutely loved mine. I think i sold like 4 pipes there for D&D Lmao.

I dyno'd my bike with just a D&D slip on and pulled 104.8 at the wheel i will be going back shortly for a PC3 and custom map and i will post up hp and torque specs for that.

that looks nice 03black600rr! did the pipes come black like that, or did you have them PC'd?

on a side note, I think it is funny that they say they will not tarnish the name, but they will still sell you the pipe that sits close for your 03-04...

i gave up on D&D i see no reason why they cant make the pipes sit higher alot of 03-04 run no heat shields so i said screw them and just got a Cf akrapovic silp on i like it :D

can we please sticky this link or something? that way people know why 05-06 suck ass with D&D he gives picture explantions as well.

Hey I have the Black Satin on my 06 600RR and I love the way it looks. YES, it does sit funny, the fitments is the reason. I get more people that LOVE the look and the sound compared to the other pipes out there. My bf 's Akra doesn't even get a second glance. Only because it looks just like all the rest. Here's a pic on mine:

thanks tony, at least someone has a real answer! the silver plastic things are different from 03-04 to 05-06, the pipes are designed to fit WITH the factory parts still on, so the 05-06 sits lower cuz the factory plastic piece stays above it. (the heat shield too) why couldn't D&D say that?!

No didnt have them PC'd it came like that.... every one that i have seen is runnin the black satin can so I figured why not go with the cheaper aluminum look, and it came with everything black except for the can I think it looks great.... I have no complaints about the pipe I would say its worth the money even though its not a full system. I get nothing but compliments on it. Sounds soooo sweet I will try to put up a clip of it.

IMO, that looks kinda funky with a white heat shield between your exhaust and the tail. Krylon black.

True ironmann I agree, but it's like that way for now. I was sick of my ass being on fire so it went back on. For now it'll stay gray. The paint job will be a winter project.

Has noone considered doing a heat exrtactor mod on the rear cowl pseudo vents? It may help some, not sure how much though. It may take some redirection of the incoming air. I ask this now so I don't get the post nazis fuming over a "reposted issue" ;-)
Also how hot could the carbon cans get, I mean really? It seems as if they would retain less heat. Isn't that one of the main reasons for going to the carbon fiber, as well as weight.

That's a pretty good number. Do you have any stock dynos? Please post the tuned dynos also. I bet there is a little more waiting.

No follow up dyno Revver? I guess the heat extractor has been overlooked as well.
