Hey Guys,

Can anybody verify if the pins on my master link look ok?

I installed a new chain and this was my first time doing it myself.

Thanks.

Do the links move freely and not bind? If so, then you are good. Another trick I learned ( The Hard Way as you are about to) clean a new chain before you install it. All that lithium grease is gonna fly off shortly and you will be cleaning it off your bike. It's easier to clean it when the chain is off the bike before installation.

Looks good.

Don't clean new chains with solvent though, just lightly run a clean rag over it to remove the excess grease.

Thanks guys,

I used a D.I.D. 501e chain tool and at first I thought I wasn't riveting the pins enough then after some considerable torquing on the tool I began to worry I did it too much :drunk:

FYI: The link doesn't bind at all.
