Hi everyone,

Anyone know where this hose is supposed to connect to? Found it disconnected after I had my spark plugs changed recently.

If the other end is also disconnected and runs to the bottom of the bike, then it's one of the hoses that attaches to the fuel tank for that purpose (overflow drain, vent hose, and one other I think, depending on year.) I know my 07 has three. They're easy to pop off if you don't pull a little slack from the bottom when raising the fuel tank.

Thanks for your response. Yes the other end is also disconnected. I cant seem to find a good picture to show me how it attaches to the bottom of the fuel tank. Is this doable without having to remove the tank?

Hm, maybe, but it would involve forceps or something that could squeeze into where it connects to, and the ability to fit the hose blind. So, not really.

When I need an exploded view of something on the motorcycle, I look at the shop manual, or if you don't have that, parts diagrams from somewhere that sells online parts, like Ron Ayers.

Most likely, you will need to raise the tank and fit the hose by hand, then carefully put the tank back down. It's not too hard. Having a bungie cord or ratchet strap is handy to keep the tank in place as you do so.

Was able to lift the tank today. Attached a picture of the underside of the trunk. I'm assuming that loose hose goes in red circled part of the picture?

Yes. You can put a hose clamp on it. Just make sure you pull it out of the square "holder" by the kick stand before you pull the tank up the next time you need to raise the tank.

Just realize you have two hoses that connect to the bottom and run down as drain hoses. One is your over flow hose and is the largest. The other is your vent hose and has a plastic coupling inline. It's usually the over flow hose that falls off everytime you raise the tank.

Also, your vent hose needs to be routed through the metal clamp holding your fuel pump wiring.
