didn't really feel like spending the money on one of these, cause i knew i could make it look better by myself. the thing was though, just had to figure out how. after staring at the fender for a little bit, i got some ideas and began taking **** apart.

this is what it looked like when i bought it:

(in this pic i took most of the stickers off, but you can still see how stupidly large the rear fender/license plate assembly is)

and this is what it looks like now, after about 40 minutes of playing around with it:

making things look a whole lot better for free is awesome, lol.

Looks good, I did the same exact thing - although yours looks a lot more simple. I made mine too complicated.. I used the SPR Engineering plate light, it looks really good.

I'd leave the stock signals.. they look good, but more importantly - they're very visible unlike 99.9% of aftermarket turn signals. With all the traffic in LA I have to deal with, the last thing I'd want is to be any less visible, to each their own though!

not thread jackin or anything, but i agree, i dont like aftermarket signals bc of their lack of visibility. thats why i havent taken them off my bike yet. is there anything out there as bright as them? i know ive followed my buddy on a road i didnt know, and i never knew when he was turning untill i saw him actually turning bc i couldnt see the lil dim light blinking.

I would have gotten rid of the chicken strip before I started on any mods. That thing is embarrasing!
Just joking dude, it actually looks pretty good but you have to get some different signals.
