Do I need to get an aftermarket fairing stay if I'm buying track glass, or will the stock one work just be heavier? I'm going to race the bike on a limited basis next season and am putting it all together over the winter. I'm not going to completely remove all the street stuff because I'll most likely be selling it sometime next fall. I can pretty much just remove the stock plastics, sidestand, lights, etc, and leave all the wiring in place so it can be streeted again provided I don't crash and total it right?

You can use the stock fairing stay and just unplug the electrics you don't need (lights, etc.) Most people stick with the stock fairing stay. The aftermarket ones (i.e. vortex) don't work well (or at all) with lights and the added weight of the plastic - plus they ain't cheap but they are nice since with the vortex ones you can sometimes 'bend it back' after a crash whereas the stock stay typically is unusable.
