does anyone here have a ridgeline and uses it to transport their RR or any other bikes?

My RR fits in the back of my '06 Frontier just fine. The only thing that pisses me off is its 2 inches too long to fit with my bed extender in.
yo i love the ridgeline... i have an 02 ram with the 8ft bed, and i can fit 3 bikes in ti, but my next truck is most definately going to be the honda!!

One of the features I liked about this truck was that tailgate door folds down (standard on all trucks, of course) but it also swings wide. Something I haven't seen on other trucks.

Also, it has a trunk--if you look in the picture, underneath the swingarm is the trunk. Pretty cool!
I love that feature too! When I saw that, I knew I had to buy my 1972 Plymouth wagon. :)

minivan?? whos got a minivan? stay away from me!!!!:fiddy: not again!!!!!!!!!!!
Hauling bikes is the only reason I bought a Ridgeline. I never drive it except when I haul the bikes around.

Does it have a reinforced tailgate to be able to hold that weight? Seems a little scary hanging your bike off the back end.
? Are u kidding me? Lets say for argument sake that 60% of the bikes weight is on the back. . . roughly 400 lbs. . . . have you ever sat on the back of tailgate with a few of your friends?

my dodge has had 500 lbs on the tailgate alone. . .no prob.

I have an 06 too and LOVE it!!! I was a little pissed too when I discovered that the extender would not work with it. It drives very smoothly with gobs of power.

I agree and for what it's worth, I have been transporting one or two bikes with my Ridgeline for over a year now. I've lost count of the number of times I have done this. I've gone to Laguna Seca for the last two years with two bikes on my Ridgeline. Each trip was close to a thousand miles.

If it was not going to work, I should know by now don't you think?
Ridgelines a nice truck, when Im able to afford it Im there. Have any you compared it to the Avalanche?
okay so u want to compare a honda to a chevy???? are u serious? as far as gas milage alone i am sure the honda wins but as far as towing the chevy hands down but that lil six that every one in here thinks sucks.

U have another thing coming cause that is prtty much the same engine as the NSX (only the best honda) block wise i mean. my mom has one(ridgeline) and that thing is quick. and i beat my friends new truck, cant remember what he has but i knows its one of the best v8s chevy has in a stock truck. with no special options of course =) haha.

but i mean for towing bikes it will hold trust me. my pops,stepdad, and myself sat on the tail gate and the is about 600 lbs so it should hold right nice.

just getting my .02 cents in

even tho I would most likely still purchase a ridgeline (if i had the funds) for the reliability factor the Avalanche looks alittle better IMO and is a more capable truck/suv
Ridgeline
Hp= 247
Towing Capacity= 5000 lbs.

Avalanche
Hp= 310-366
Towing= 7200-8200lbs.

i almost got the avalanche a few years back. the one i wanted was the nice clean one without all the plastic, and it was a really good drive. i opted for a smaller car cuz i didn't need the truck at the time and the gas mileage was terrible. now i got my RR and snow boarding season is coming up so the truck is looking good right now.

I didn't realize you could put bikes in the bed of an Avalanche. The reason I bought a Ridgeline is because I didn't want a trailer.

they are more likely to jack my wheels than my RR, lol.

wow, it's been awhile since i jacked someones thread, hahaha.
yeah, thats because your a mod now!!
dang this thread now i'm looking at ridgelines :(

it will fit if you hit the ridgeline at 150mph.
what are you talking about?
ya i was kinda wondering the same thing lol
i dont know about putting bikes in the back of a avalanch? i have never seen that befor but maybe u can.
I couldn't see buying a ridgeline when you have the Avalanche as a much better suited option. I have an 02 Avalanche and I couldn't give it up for a honda "truck"
