Doing it staggered feels VERY akward at first, but its def. the way to rock it. Easy o balance once you get the feel of it. I still don't understand how to cover the brake while the bike is completely straight up....i never used the brake before...I just use the engine brake to brake while up on 1. Buutttttt I am still learning so don't listen to me.

like i have said before, i gave my 600rr up for a new 06 1k rr. but i have been on mr dirts 600rr and did a few wheelies on his a few days ago. i started out doing some 1st gear sit downs, the put it into 2nd gear doing about 45 ish i think it was and bounced it up with my left foot on the back peg and right foot covering break.came up real nice. not like my 1k but it came up after about 3 times of tring. bp was really easy to get to also. just remember when you think you to far, your not far enough. thats what i tell myself. listen to your bike, it will tell you where the bp is, along with the feel of the bike. when you hit that bp, its like heaven on wheels. trust me, you will know when you hit it. thanx again dirt for letting me rock your rr.

im doing pretty well with sit-downs, getting to bp now and then, so i hear bp is a lot easier to do on standups. so here i need your help. when your starting out doing standups how is your body positioned? i just feel so awkward even standing like that(pass peg and brake), just feels wrong. anyways what im asking is are your arms fully extended so your body is streight back, or are you arms compressed and musles tight? is your back streight and back. or bent at the waist? knees bent or streight?

i tried once with my arms bent but when i slipped the clutch i guess i didn't keep my muscles tight enough and my body flew back(like i almost fell of the back lol). so yeah, any tips would rock.

thanks!

thanks, ill play around with it more when i get my cage in, and a new rear brake lever(mines shortened lets say haha). i just got my rear sproket on today, haven't had a chance to ride with it yet, so now im 15/45. pretty excited about that. i think i needed to give her more gas. i only tried stand ups once and i didn't really commit.

oh and im 6'2 :)

thanks

I can do sitdowns easy and rock em for a good distance. I have no problem commiting and getting the bike to stand up, but when Im trying stand ups that initial force pushes me back and I end up sitting on the passenger seat lol. Can anyone post a pic of body position before they stand it up? I just dont feel very stable the way im standing and I know im doing something wrong.
